How do I request books and articles the RUC Library does not own?

Answer

All RUC patrons are able to request books and other materials from the Radford main campus library in Radford, VA. To learn more about how to request items from main campus, please see our instructions titled "Borrowing a Book from Main Campus (without driving to Radford)"

However, if the item is something that is not owned by either the RUC Library or the main campus library, you can still request access via our library’s interlibrary loan software called ILLIAD. This service is provided free of charge.

To create an ILLIAD account, please follow the following instructions:

How Do I Create My ILLIAD Account?

    • Log in using your radford.edu username and password (the same one you use for your radford.edu email account)

    • The first time you log in, you will be taken to a Personal Information Form.

    • After you have completed the form, you may begin borrowing other libraries' materials by submitting request forms, located under “New Request” within ILLiad.

Email ill@radford.edu with any questions.

To learn how to request access to materials via ILLIAD, please see our instructions titled Getting a Book or Article the Library Doesn't Own.
