HTML files are generally more accessible (for use with screen readers) than PDF files. If you want to save the full text of an article that you are able to access and navigate in HTML format for later use, here are the steps:

  1. Download the HTML version of the file.

  2. Save it where you would like to on your own device.

  3. When you want to view it, go to the location you saved it in, and either:

    • Click "Open" (depending on what your default browser settings are, you may have to agree to open it in Chrome, for example), OR

    • Either right click (PC) or control+click (Mac) on it and select "Open With," and then select your preferred browser.

  4. Once the file is downloaded, you just need a browser downloaded to open it - you do not need internet (to read the full text), and you won't need your RU credentials.
