If you do not see a printer with a name starting with ML and the desktop shortcuts are not working, you will need to manually add a printer to the library computer you are using. You cannot print from your laptop.

To map a printer to the public PC:

  1. Locate the search box in the bottom menu bar on the computer's screen, next to the Windows "Start" icon.
  2. Type in \\papercut-lab then hit "enter."
  3. Type the first part of your printer's name in the search box in the top right corner of the window: all McConnell Library printers begin with ML.
  4. Select the printer nearest to you by locating its name in the search results and right-clicking on it.
  5. Select Connect.

There are two printers on the third (main) floor and one on the fourth floor. Each printer has two names: one for black and white (BW) and one for color (COLOR) option. Each printer should have a label with its name on the wall behind it.

3rd Floor

  • ML-331-BW2
  • ML-331-COLOR2
  • ML-331-BW4
  • ML-331-COLOR4

4th Floor

  • ML-431-BW
  • ML-431-COLOR

If you are still experiencing printing problems, please ask a library staff member for help. We are happy to assist.
