There are a lot of strategies to find primary sources, original documents and objects which were created at the time under study. Think about your topic, the time period, location, and people affected to help locate relevant primary sources.

1) Talk to our Archives or with a librarian at the Research Help Desk.

2) Search some of our primary source databases.

3) Use large-scale repositories like the Internet Archive or Google Books.

4) Try SuperSearch
