If you are getting an error message when accessing one of our subscription databases as a  Radford University student, staff, or faculty, you may need to clear your browser cache.

Many error messages occur when your internet browser stores your login information for a long period of time. To solve the problem, go to the history tab or button in your browser menu and delete your history, cache, and cookies. Here are step-by-step instructions for different browsers from Radford's IT OneStop.

You can also try switching to a different browser: For example, if you're using Edge, switch to Firefox or Google Chrome.

Some of the error messages that clearing your cache will fix are 404 error messages or "disallowed key characters."

If you are still having issues, please contact the Research Help Desk so we can assist with further troubleshooting.
