The Assistive Technology Room is on level 3 and contains equipment and tools to help patrons with disabilities use library materials.
There are two computers located in the Assistive Technology Room:
- PC computer workstation
- monitor with adjustable arms
- located on motorized, adjustable table
- Runs the software JAWS, Kurzweil, and Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Attached scanner to use with Kurzweil software.
- Mac computer workstation
- monitor with adjustable arms
- located on motorized, adjustable table
- 27" computer screen
- Magnification and screen reading accessibility tools
- Noise-cancelling headphones
- Full-spectrum lighting
- TeleSensory magnifier
The room may be used by walk-in patrons, or can be booked in advance by contacting the library’s Front Desk at (540) 831-5364 or frontdesk@radford.edu. It is available for use anytime the library is open.
