Public patrons are allowed to check out most physical library materials: for more information and learn how to get a library card, go to Checking Out Materials on the library's Services webpage.

Public patrons can access many online materials such as articles, streaming videos, and eBooks while in McConnell Library using our public PCs. Login information for public PCs is at the Front and Research Help Desks on the library's main floor. Due to our licensing agreements, public patrons cannot access these online resources from home.

DUO authentication for some online materials

Some ebooks may require users to use DUO authentication in order to access them in McConnell Library. To authenticate, enter the public login user name and password. You may be able to access the book at this point or you may need to complete one more step. In the case of the latter, select the first green button that says "Call me". It will have the system call the front desk phone (-5364).

Please notify the Front Desk staff beforehand that you will be doing this.
