Q. Does the library loan out laptops?

McConnell Library does not loan out laptop computers, but we do have both Mac and PC desktop computers, primarily on our 3rd, 4th and 5th floors. Other possible options include:

• The Connected Communities office does have a limited laptop loaner program for long-term check outs. Application information is available on the Connected Communities Services site. Expand the "Laptop Loaner Program" section.
•  Are you a student in the College of Education and Human Development? You may be able to check out a laptop  for a week at a time at the Teaching Resources Center in Peters. Contact the TRC staff for more information

• Looking for a longer term solution?  You can submit a request to the Financial Aid Office to to increase your financial aid budget to include the cost of a computer. Office of Financial Aid in Heth to get more information and a form to apply to use financial aid to cover your costs of purchasing a new laptop. To access the form go to the Financial Aid site and expand the "Forms" section, then expand the "Special Circumstance Request Forms." Select the "Request to Add Computer Cost" form.
