LexisNexis is a great database option for finding regional and state news stories. Two other options are Google News and our database Newspapers Source Plus . To search LexisNexis:

1. In top tool bar to the right of "Sources Directory" click "Browse"

2. In top tool bar to the right of "Sources Directory" click "Browse". Select "News & Business Topics". Select United States in Country pull-down menu. Select either a region or state.

Check the boxes next to newspapers you wish to search.

3. Click "OK Continue" on the right

4. Enter your search!

Google News can also be a great resource for local news information, under News Near You. You can also go to their Advanced Search to focus on Virginia.
